My friends and I stopped here for lunch while at a conference in Charleston and we really enjoyed our meal! It’s a cute place with friendly staff and the food was delicious! We ordered the dumplings which were tasty but seemed overpriced. I ordered the okonomiyaki based on all the amazing reviews online and it did not disappoint! Would recommended

The Okonomiyaki is a stand out dish and warrants a 5 star review alone. We also tried the dumplings and papaya salad which did not reach the same heights.

Ate here because several locals said it was one of the best places to eat in Charleston. Place is fairly small with both indoor and outdoor seating. We went at around 530pm on a Monday. By 6:00 it was crowded. We had a large group but were able to sit together. Entrees are served family style. We ordered one of every entree and appetizer. Our favorites were the pork noodles (we got 3 of those), the okonomiyaki (a Japanese cabbage pancake) and the Brussel Sprouts. But everything was fantastic. There is very little parking. It is mostly street parking. Service was excellent.

A lovely dining experience, the menu is limited but don't let that deter you. The dishes they offer are flavorful and delicious. Valentina our server was gracious and attentive. Miles the bartender crafts a truly delightful cocktail, the Petra added an amazing flavor profile to our meals. The restaurant itself is quaint, comfortable and full of character. We will be returning very soon. Thank you to the entire staff

Maybe the best meal we had in Charleston. Excellent service in a casual setting. The flies were bad, but thankfully they shared the little table fan to help. If you like to explore unique tastes off the Charleston standard, you’ll love stop. Our favs - okonomiyaki, dumplings, fried rice Cons - the flies, no biscuits on the menu

Trendy, unique, delicious. Chic and a little wacky, perfect for the young ‘uns, but I took the family anyway. We got all 5 of the “must try” items and they were all amazing. Really well conceived and unpretentious. Duck and fish were the favorites. The menu is quite limited but you truly cannot go wrong. They say order 3-4 for 2 people and that’s about right for a true dinner-sized meal.

DELICIOUS! Located in an old gas station Xiao Bao Biscuit is an absolute gem. Start with some tasty cocktails, maybe one with schezuan to get your taste buds jumping, and follow it up with some delicious family style food. The okonomiyaki is a delicious meal, especially with the pork candy on top! Will certainly be back for dinner to get some Bao buns as well! On top of everything you get to watch then make home made dumplings!

If you’re like me, you’re the type to pick places with character over places that just “look good”. Placed at an intersection, this gas station turned restaurant is a must. The food was fresh, filling, seasoned, and came out quickly. It’s easy to run up a high bill if you’re ordering drinks though. This is definitely on my restaurant rotation.

Okay first timer did not know what to expect after reading the menu, but I will say after ordering my dish that I would recommend this to anyone looking to be adventurous. The food was bursting with flavor it really targets the senses. The staff was beautiful and friendly. I ended up receiving a compliment when all I wanted to do the entire time was compliment the woman who served me. ????

Best dumplings I've ever had; the noodles tasted amazing. All the dishes we had were dynamite. Really outstanding restaurant. Decent selection of drinks and friendly staff. Large tent setup in front for outdoor eating. The Taiwan Beer was decent, a little sweeter than I expected. It was a little pricier than I expected. $60 pre-tip for two lunch bowls, dumplings, and two beers. However the food was prepared well andnl delicious plus the size of the meal was huge. We left with full stomachs and will definitely return.
